About Me
Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Eliza Blacquiere. I am a 20 year old photographer and artist based in Prince Edward Island, Canada. From nature to portraits to events to weddings, I am thrilled to be able to document all of these beautiful moments, times, stories, and experiences.
My photography journey has lead me to so many adventures. Zooming in on a story or a moment, and getting to photograph all the beauty I see is amazing to me, and so much fun.
I also love being able to take a vision or an idea or feeling and bring it to life through photographs. One of the very special moments to me in photography is when I get to give my finished photos to clients. It’s touching how photography can be so meaningful and be such a beautiful gift to share.
My story & journey so far...
I started photography at 12 years old when my Mom bought me my first camera, a Canon Rebel XS. I feel like my camera and I grew together. I became a photographer with this camera, which is very special to me. I have taken some amazing photos with it. Then one day I invested my own money into a professional Canon Camera, the 7D Mark II. This was a big step for me, I was investing in myself as a photographer. As the months went on taking pictures with my new camera (and loving the photos it took), I knew the time was coming to put myself out there. I realized that I had been doing this work for several years (7 to be exact) and had built up experience and education in several different areas of photography. The next step in my journey became clear, show myself, take a leap, and believe!
So here I am, sharing my work, building a website, and even doing something way out of my comfort zone, that I have never done before... social media. A little daunting? Maybe, but mostly nah, because I am so excited to now be able to connect and work with more, and more people from all over the island and beyond. With each photo I take, I learn more, and more, and more. I love continually growing and learning and evolving my techniques, in this awesome craft I feel so honoured to be a part of.
I am so thankful to all who have helped me come this far in my career, and to those encouraging me to spread my wings and fly.

Some more about me...
I am a member of the PEI Photo Club, where I enjoy learning from our monthly presenters. I have fun trying new techniques and sharing knowledge and experiences together with my club friends.
Being an artist as well, I am also diving deeper with my graphic design interests and am currently studying towards being a professional graphic designer with studies in related fields.
I am a big fan of knitting and crocheting and fibre arts in general. I love my artsy hobbies!
Music is amazing to me, it can be so expressive and each piece is so unique to each individual or group of musicians. It’s so beautiful. I casually play a couple instruments myself. As well as being a member of The Confederation Singers.
I love a good run on sentence, what wonderful things commas are,,,,,,, I never seem to want to end a sentence when I'm writing, I love adding, and adding, and adding, and adding. But alas... Grammar.
With all of that said, I think I will resolve to finish this biography of sorts and say thank you so much for visiting and being here reading all of this. Maybe you will be the next person I work with, and if so, I am so excited to hear from you!
Until next time, I say goodbye for now… Smiles and light, Eliza.
